Friday Faves : Nov. 7, 2024

Hellllooo, and say hey to Friday.

Roasted Tomatoes foodiecrush.com

Just a few days before our first official frost I pulled my final tomato and basil harvest of the season. Saying goodbye to those sweet juicy orbs is always bittersweet, but it’s one reason I love living in a state with four seasons. Winter is on our doorstep and spring will be here before we know it. This all means I get to make a big batch of roasted tomatoes to turn into one of my favorite tomato sauces for all sorts of tasty recipes.

And speaking of rituals, my friend’s new book is coming out soon and she was featured here talking about 5 rituals that set you up for a more centered and peaceful day.

We will be celebrating our wedding anniversary again next month. After all these years together, I know he’s got my back and he knows I have his. That’s why this viral relationship ritual hit home. Success for the long game!

Have you ever walked out of the grocery store or glanced out the living room window and found yourself stopped in your tracks by the spectacle in the sky? Here are some surprising health benefits of watching a sunrise or sunset.

Strap on your favorite headphones (these are mine) and take a listen to a new (to me) podcast I’ve been enjoying lately.

Here are 3 fall salads I’ve got my eye on:

  • Dying to make this autumn Caesar salad with delicata squash CROUTONS. Brilliant.
  • I’m excited to make this yummy salad that I discovered last year. It’s bright, tangy, sweet, and savory and just has it going on.
  • This one looks like a dish you’d get at a restaurant. Love how it’s presented (but also easy and approachable).

Orzo is such a popular pasta and when you add bacon, cheese, and squash…MAMA! It’s the fall vibe you want to enjoy now!

Save this one for later: These turkey sliders are the perfect way to put those Thanksgiving leftovers to good use.

Bookmarking these hot honey cranberry margaritas for all of the holiday jingle jangle merriment.

This creamy miso mushroom pasta is an umami-flavor bomb.

I am such a fan of shellfish, especially shrimp and mmmmmmm, these spicy shrimp look so good.

I love this Marry Me chicken recipe, but this Marry Me soup (with sausage) also looks fab!

How dreamy are these cacio e pepe potatoes?

Mexican street corn SOUP?! Sign me up, baby.

Okay, I LOVE Asian food (if you haven’t notice, ha!) and these soy sauce fried eggs would be absolutely killer on top of my kimchi fried rice.

And if you would add this Thai curry to my Asian recipe love list I would be one very happy eater, indeed.

Salted. Pecan. Pie. Brownies. Oh, heck yes!

Intrigued by these spicy pickle margaritas…I mean…

Such a smart concept for a cookbook. Excited to flip through this.

I am all about mood lighting no matter what room it is so I can appreciate the case for having lamps in the kitchen.

A cool mug, with an even cooler handle.

A holiday gift guide for the picky people in your life.

I pulled out one of my favorite cashmere sweaters and low and behold it had two holes in it! HOWWW??? I love it so much (it’s light, doesn’t itch, and is so great for travel!) so a replacement has promptly been ordered!

Just added this lip oil to my shopping cart (it’s supposed to be so good!).

If you’re looking to try a new concealer, I keep hearing the best things about this one here.

Finally! An all women’s sports network is on the horizon! Now this is progress! Go girls, go!

The perfect reason to say “to go” a little less often. Ahhhh, relax and enjoy!

And that’s it for this week! Enjoy the weekend and cook something comforting and good!
